Lubricity Enhancer
A shortened life of engine components, such as diesel fuel injection pumps and injectors, has sometimes been ascribed to a lack of lubricity in diesel fuel. AFC's lubricity enhancer increases the lubricity of treated fuel, extending component lifespans through wear reduction.

Lubricity Enhancer TESTING
The following test was conducted using the ASTM D6079-99 testing methodology, which tests the lubricity of diesel fuels using a High-Frequency Reciprocating Rig (HFRR). Testing was performed on several samples of diesel fuel, each dosed with different treat rates of AFC's lubricity enhancer.
- This chart demonstrates the lubricity enhancer’s ability to increase lubricity and decrease component wear.
- A smaller wear scar diameter is an indication of decreased component wear.
- The Wear Scar Diameter (WSD) measurements are shown to decrease with higher doses of the lubricity enhancer in the diesel fuel.
- With the recommended AFC treatment ratio, one should expect an average of 75 microns in WSD reduction.
